17th April - 'Dolly Mixture' with Sara Pearson
Fairies, ballerinas, mermaids, pirates, or a vintage wooden doll. These are just a few of the characters you might like to create. Using a combination of paints, textiles, beads, and embellishments you will be able to create a truly unique wooden doll ... an heirloom for future generations. This workshop is designed for a child accompanied by a parent/grandparent.

21st April - Textile Art Master Class 'Lavender Walk' with Rowena Light
Project designer for Stitch Magazine. Create a book-wrap, needle-case, or mount as a picture. In this workshop you will learn an interesting technique to produce a very textured background. This involves using a sewing machine and free machine work, but a very easy method. Hand stitching on top of this surface will produce the lavendar flowers. You will learn wrapping techniques for the lavender stalks and finish it all off with a flurry of beading. You can then use this fabric to make a three-fold needle case, notebook, or mount it as a picture. Bring savoury lunch to share. Refreshments and homemade cake provided!

24th April - Willow Herb Baskets with Lyn Edwards
An ideal beginner's project, this basket is perfect for drying herbs and flower heads or as a decorative egg basket. The wire mesh base makes it achievable in a day and can be made with an attractive weave and a choice of coloured willow stems.

5th May - Textile Art Master Class 'Gold On Fabric' with Rowena Light
Students will learn hot to apply gold, silver, and copper leaf onto fabric as well as use embossing powders and transfoil. The fabric can then be used to make a small needle-case, book wrap, or just a panel to mount on canvas. This is a mainly hand stitch day, but machines can be used to speed things up. I tend to use both in my work. This day includes some design teaching. Bring a savoury lunch to share. Refreshments and homemade cake provided!

Practising the ancient craft of mosaic this exciting one-day workshop will focus on designing and making a beautiful fish plaque to anhance your home or garden. 15th May - Revamp your Wardrobe with Lucie Ponsford
Bring items from your wardrobe and learn how to 'revamp' them into accessories and simple garments. Updating your wardrobe can be done in the adjustment of a jacket's fit or style or in radical transformation. Lucie 'Giselle' offers the chance to reinvent your favourite worn out momento, or for the sake of the environment reuse the fabric hanging, unworn in the wardrobe.

Use buff and brown willow to create a strong, practical and beautiful round willow basket. Once learnt, the technique can be adapted to design of your choice. This is a two day course.

9th June - Fabric covered boxes with Chrissy Wallis
Based on a Chinese concept of a box within a box, this etui is a small self-contained needlework box, made up of fabric-covered card leaves which, when the lid is removed, open out to reveal all your sewing needs. Etuis were first made by soldiers and seamen in the 19th centuary. A Kirby box (c.1880) is on display at the Geffrye Museum, London.

20th June - The Princess and the Pea: Family Art Workshop with Sara Pearson
Come and make an enchanting keepsake and toy. A wooden bed with numerous mattresses and with a pretty princess perched on top under a charming patchwork quilt - oh and of the course the pea safely hidden! All rounded off with the traditional story. This workshop is designed for a child accompanied by a parent/grandparent.

26th June - Textile Art Master Class 'Indian Garden' with Rowena Light
'Gold on Fabric' Strip and stitch book wrap. Using an easy bonded applique technique students will learn how to construct a base fabric taking colour inspiration from their favourite things, flowers, holiday photos, architecture, landscape etc. This fabric, then embellished with machine and hand embroidery, beading and surface painting if they wish, will produce a luscious fabric wrap for a book or gift. Students should be familiar with their sewing machines although only basic stitching is needed.Bring savoury lunch to share. Refreshments and homemade cake provided!

18th August - Willow Weaving Workshop with Annie
Annie has been making baskets for the past fourteen years. She lives and works on the North Devon coast, growing her own, but also using willow from the Somerset levels. Create your own beautiful, sculptural ball for the home or garden using brown and coloured willow. The balls may be large or small and once finished may be suspended from a tree or weighted with pebbles. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or accomplished basket makers alike.
